epic.

I have been thinking about Heaton's first haircut for a while, and I usually think "NO WAY, JOSE!"

For some reason recently I had decided that I would cut it before his 2nd birthday (December 3rd)

However, I thought that in light of having a girl sometime this week, I would like everyone to know that Heaton is a big BROTHER, not a big SISTER
Yes, he gets called a girl (a cute one at least) almost daily.

So we psyched ourselves up one day and did this to him
(and broke our own hearts a little bit).

As you can see, this has not affected his glorious self-esteem whatsoever!

recently we decided to

 in NO particular order...
go camping with some of our favorite people

sell my 1999 College Honda!  Oh the memories!

let my dad take care of Heaton while I took a nap!!

let Aunt Bekah get jumped on repeatedly while hearing "giddyup!"  so I could have an adult conversation with my grandma.

grow a ponytail and take a picture for posterity.  is this why Heaton is often called a girl!?

"swim" in buckets in the backyard since the community pool so rudely closed for the year

look all handsome and walk to church

watch the tractors in front of our house "fix the road" and "put dirt down"

see great friends at another great friend's wedding!
hang out at the zoo with grandma and grandpa

watch a bird show

grow a baby
say hi to the baby and call her "baby time"  you know--from baby signing times?  cant quite pronounce Valentine.

read Ender's Game to the baby
(where her name comes from)

buy a piano

learn to play the piano

and take trips to the park
(I did not take Heaton to the park the entire month of August-
--it's TOO hot out there for a pregnant lady!!)
